The motor vehicle, in the West – replaced the work horse in most areas of civilian life – and the Willys Jeep all but completely – in effect – replaced the War Horse in regard to the Second Front in World War II.
But in another sense – one of the greatest advocates of the horse – is Monty Roberts.
He has taught us – how to relate to the horse with understanding and empathy, and not only that – he has taught us the language of horses, which he has called ‘Equus’.
This is in fact a revolution in terms of our relationship with horses.
It has implications for all relationships.
